EZ Connector Inc.'s "R" Version magnetic electrical connectors shown on this page, which are sold as complete kits (which include both male (truck) and female (trailer) connectors and mounting hardware, are designed to be used in the harshest conditions (e.g. heavy snow, ice, salt, mud). These connectors feature a removable "dummy" plug cover instead of a self-closing cover; this design prevents.  

EZ Connector, Inc's full-kit "R" version connectors are also frequently used in factory settings (i.e. for self-guided trains / parts carts in distribution centers). Tree trimming services have been known to use both "R" version and "S" version EZ Connector brand magnetic electrical connectors.
